In August 2014, Vinaincon was awarded Package No.6 of Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Complex Project in Nghi Son EZ in Tinh Gia District, Thanh Hoa Province.
The Package is valued at VND230 billion, consisting of construction, mechanical and electrical works for more than 30 buildings of the Project. After two months, Vinainincon has finished the foundations and is preparing for works of floor reinforcement and pillars.
Project Description
Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical project will have the capacity to process 200,000 barrels of crude oil a day imported from the Middle East, producing petrochemical products such as gasoline, diesel oil, kerosene, jet fuel and polypropylene.
The site of the Petrochemical project is located in the Thanh Hoa Province in Vietnam, 200 km south of the capital of Hanoi.
The Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical project is estimated to cost a total of $8 billion, including the cost of preparing the ground for the refinery and building nearby harbor facilities. Building the refinery is expected to cost slightly more than $5 billion.
